Welcome to The Old Dairy in Gjerrild
The Old Dairy was constructed in 1912 and is located just across from Gjerrild church. It stopped functioning as a dairy in 1966 due to centralization in the region and was purchased by art dealer Søren Mikkelsen. My parents, Ruth and Axel Christensen, bought The Dairy in 1977 and I took over in 2012. In The Dairy, there is a smoke-free banquet hall and 4 smoke-free holiday apartments for rent. The apartments consist of the Orange Suite and the Red Apartment on the ground floor. The Green Apartment and the Purple Apartment are on the first floor, up a flight of stairs. All apartments are intended for 2 adults and 2 children and have their own bathroom and kitchenette (no oven). Each apartment rental has access to a common room with table tennis and various board games. There is also a big terrace with a fountain and a garden in front of The Dairy. There is free Wi-Fi and parking. Bicycles and a babycrib can be rented. It is possible to charge electric cars for the daily watt price. In Gjerrild, it is possible to eat out at Gjerrild Kro and Sostrup Castle. There is also a grocery store open every day of the week. The village is surrounded by forest and beaches and there are plenty of opportunities for trekking and bicycling. 4 km away is Gjerrild Nordstrand, a great sunbathing and swimming beach. 2 km away there is a pebble and stone beach good for fishing. Also 2 km away are the cliffs of Gjerrild which are good for bird watching. I look forward to welcoming you! Best regards, Anette Grøn Christensen
